Ligue 1: Ze Scores In Defeat As Metz Look Destined For Relegation

Metz, who are yet to win in the Ligue 1 game since their victory against Reims on January 16, lost 3-1 on Bordeaux’s patch, despite their new recruit getting a goal for himself.

The lone goal for Metz was scored by Didier Lamkel Zé in the 21st minute.

The Cameroonian striker who joined the side a week ago from Russia, opened scoring in his second game for the club.

The 25-year-old however saw his side’s lead snatched with second half goals from; Mangas, Niang and Hwang.

On the other end of the field was Ze’s international teammate, Junior Onana. The latter played the entire game, while Ze gave way to Louis Mafouta at the 56th minute.

Metz are in a precarious position and only have 7 match days to save themselves, as they are placed rock bottom with 23 points from 31 games.
