Ligue 2: Franck Bambock Helps Grenoble To First Away Point Of The Season

Potential Indomitable Lion Franck Bambock was in the starting block and put up a scintillating display in the game, up until the the 89th minute when he was substituted for De Iriondo on Friday September 24.

The 26 year old Douala native anchored the midfeild for his side, and an equalizer was scored by the home side (90+4 minute) just after Bambock got substituted, showing his impact on the game

In a balanced and closed start to the match, opportunities were scarce. Following a meteoric acceleration in the opponent’s area, Akim Abdallah was brought down by Mpasi and obtained a penalty that Anthony Belmonte transformed to give the advantage to GF38 (0-1, 26th sp). Rodez tried to react, but the headed attemptbfrom Depres was well captured by Maubleu (29th).

The locals got their foot more often on the ball at the end of half-time, but it was GF38 who returned to the locker room with the advantage on the scoreboard.

When they returned from the locker room, the Rodez continued to chase after the score against a well-organized block from Grenoble that started retreating too much. Finally, on a beautiful last distant free kick landed by Florian David, former Grenoble player, Rodez equalized at the very end of the match (1-1, 90 + 4). Hard blow.
Despite everything, it is a first away point this season. The next Grenoble game is at home to FC Pau, next Saturday (7 p.m.) at the Stade des Alpes.
