Coton Sport of Garoua’s head Coach, Daniel Breard has revealed he was suprised and clueless about his top scorer’s recent move to the Omantel Professional League, stating, Emmanuel Mahop left without informing anyone.
He made the revealation on National TV flagship sports program Fou Fou Foot.
For several weeks now, the Ballon D’or winner, Emmanuel Mahop, signed for IBRI Club in the Omantel Professional League.
A move which has left many at Coton Sport where he a brief stint shocked including French gaffer, Daniel Breard.
“Emmanuel Mahop left Coton Sport without informing anyone at the club. He suddenly cut off the communication. The sports director tried to contact him in vain. I was shocked when I learned of his transfer to Oman”, Mr. Breard on Fou Fou Foot.
“Some details in his contract at Coton Sport were not there. He took advantage of it. Mahop is a good person. It’s a shame he left like that”. He added.
Mahop joined Coton Sport after unsuccessful trials in the Middle East and managed to score 4goals which made top scorer but never returned following the AFCON recess period, only to be announced in Oman as IBRI Club’s new signing.
