Malawi vs Cameroon Match Preview: Team News, Key Stats, Prediction

Antonio Conceiçao is seriously assessing his options after losing key players in team Cameroon. The the likes of: Choupo Moting (out due to Covid19), Yvan Neyou, Harold Moukoudi, Kunde Malong ( are out due to injuries), while Jean Charles Castelleto had to be excused after news got to him that his Dad was deceased.

But for Jean Charles Castelleto, the other aforementioned players have played significant minutes in Cameroon’s World Cup qualifying campaign.

The sick bed is near – empty for team Malawi, with an exception of defender – Denis Chembezi.

Denis Chembezi is a great loss for Mwase. The latter at just 24, plies for Polokwane City in SA, and has been a mainstay, playing 90 minutes in all 4 games of the World Cup qualifiers.

Players recalled by Mwase are Hassan Kajoke and Lloyd Njaliwa.

Nyasa Big Bullets striker, Hassan Kajoke; more prominent for having been given a chicken as man of the match after his brace against Karonga United in July 2019, will look to fill – in with goals if called as starter.

Molaye Barracks and Lloyd Njaliwa are equally new comers in the flames’ side.

Toko Karl Ekambi break a two – year duck with his goal against Mozambique in October. He is currently working out magic for Lyon having scored 10 goals in 17 appearances. He is one for the camera.

Malawi’s Star players

Khuda Muyuba

Malawi’s star – man will sure be Khuda Muyuba. The latter has been in fine fertile for Polokwane City in the South African second tier, plus, he scored the lone goal for the Flames against Cote D’Ivoire.

Limbikani Mzava

All eyes will be on captain Limbikani Mzava who is making his way back to the team after missing out the game against Cote D’Ivoire.

Antonio Conceiçao is yet to claim a major accolade or do exploits worth notice with the Indomitable Lions. The former Cluj coach will hope from this stage, he can qualify Cameroon for Qatar 2022, after the nation missed out on the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
