Antonio Conceiçao is seriously assessing his options after losing key players in team Cameroon. The the likes of: Choupo Moting (out due to Covid19), Yvan Neyou, Harold Moukoudi, Kunde Malong ( are out due to injuries), while Jean Charles Castelleto had to be excused after news got to him that his Dad was deceased.
But for Jean Charles Castelleto, the other aforementioned players have played significant minutes in Cameroon’s World Cup qualifying campaign.
Late Arrivals/none
All players expected to travel, took off for SA on Wednesday evening.
The sick bed is near – empty for team Malawi, with an exception of defender – Denis Chembezi.
Denis Chembezi is a great loss for Mwase. The latter at just 24, plies for Polokwane City in SA, and has been a mainstay, playing 90 minutes in all 4 games of the World Cup qualifiers.
Aside from Chembezi, the rest of Mwase’s men are healthy. Chembezi has been replaced in the squad by Francis Mulimbika. The 28 – year – old plays for Wanderers FC but has not donned a flames jersey since October 2017, when he sat out a game against Comoros in the AFCON qualifiers.
Late Arrivals Team Malawi: John Banda/ Charles Petro/ Gerard Phiri
Midfeilder Gerald Phiri Junior joined the side in Johannesburg – in the later hours of Tuesday, after securing a rookie deal with Sudanese giants, Al Hillal.
John Banda and Charles Petro are however awaited on Thursday November 11.
Players recalled by Mwase are Hassan Kajoke and Lloyd Njaliwa.
Nyasa Big Bullets striker, Hassan Kajoke; more prominent for having been given a chicken as man of the match after his brace against Karonga United in July 2019, will look to fill – in with goals if called as starter.
Molaye Barracks and Lloyd Njaliwa are equally new comers in the flames’ side.
Conceiçao’s preferred formation: 4-3-3
Possible line – up Cameroon;
Goalkeeper – Davis Epassy

We have Samuel Oum popping in the midfeild to allow Hongla and Zambo Anguissa free movements behind the attacking trio.
For team Malawi, Meck Mwase loves to do with a 4-2-3-1 formation.
Between the sticks, 23 – year old Brighton Munthali was great against Cote D’Ivoire despite his team’s 2-1 loss on day 4. He starts in our possible line up for team Malawi;

Vincent Aboubakar
Cameroon skipper – Vincent Aboubakar has scored a single goal since the World Cup qualifiers started, and that was against Malawi on match day 1. The Al Nassr man will be looking to shoulder responsibilities especially as Choupo Moting is absent for this one. Aboubakar has so far scored 20 goals in 63 games played for the senior national team
Moumi Ngamaleu
27 year old Ngamaleu has been a real arsenal for Antonio Conceiçao’s men. The Young Boys winger has averaged 3 assists and scored once in 4 games so far in this qualifiers. He has started all games.
Toko Ekambi
Toko Karl Ekambi break a two – year duck with his goal against Mozambique in October. He is currently working out magic for Lyon having scored 10 goals in 17 appearances. He is one for the camera.
Malawi’s Star players
Khuda Muyuba
Malawi’s star – man will sure be Khuda Muyuba. The latter has been in fine fertile for Polokwane City in the South African second tier, plus, he scored the lone goal for the Flames against Cote D’Ivoire.
Limbikani Mzava
All eyes will be on captain Limbikani Mzava who is making his way back to the team after missing out the game against Cote D’Ivoire.
Coaches
Antonio Conceiçao is yet to claim a major accolade or do exploits worth notice with the Indomitable Lions. The former Cluj coach will hope from this stage, he can qualify Cameroon for Qatar 2022, after the nation missed out on the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Flames’ coach Meck Mwase has been working steady with his side, testament to that fact is the team’s only third qualification to the AFCON next year, in Cameroon.
Stadium
Stadiums in Malawi are not CAF – homologated, and as such, Malawi will host Cameroon at the Orlando stadium. For starters, Orlando Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium, in Soweto, a suburb of Johannesburg, in Gauteng province in South Africa. It is home venue for Orlando Pirates Football Club, a professional soccer team, which plays in the Premier Soccer League.
Sportsglitz.net tips Cameroon to win the game 2-0, given that the Lions need the victory more, and Malawi have never scored against the indomitable Lions.
