Marc Brys Names Strong Cameroon Squad for World Cup Play-off Against DR Congo
Cameroon national football team coach Marc Brys has finally announced his squad for the critical FIFA World Cup 2026 African play-off tournament scheduled for November 2025.
The Indomitable Lions are preparing for a high-stakes semi-final encounter against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) as they chase the final spot for the Intercontinental Play-off.
The match, which is a single-elimination tie, will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025, as part of a centralized, four-team tournament being held in Rabat, Morocco.
The winners of this semi-final will advance to the final on November 16, 2025, where they will face the winner of the match between Nigeria and Gabon. Only the eventual champion of the Rabat tournament secures the right to compete in the final Intercontinental Play-off for a ticket to the World Cup in North America.
Brys’s 25-man selection is a balanced mix of established stars and talented young players, all determined to secure Cameroon’s place at the global finals.
