Hellas! Martin Hongla Re – Stars At Verona

Midfeilder Martin Hongla played his first game for Hellas Verona on Wednesday 15, after close to 14 days out on quarantine.

The 23 year old played the full 90 minutes, though his return was a bitter – sweat one, as his side lost at home.

Hellas Verona lost to visiting Empoli, who were reduced to 10 men – late into the game.

Hongla and co went a goal down in the first quarter of the game through La Manita’s strike. The home side however cancelled it out 3 minutes later. It was
Matteo Cancellieri’s strike that brought the game all square.

Empoli then left the hosts for dead with three goals without reply.

Italian International – Leonardo Mancuso scored a brace (66, 70), before La Mantia equally got his second on the day for 4-1.

A late surge from Verona saw them score late goals in quick succession albeit Ilic and Ragusa (86, 88), but that wasn’t enough to finish a comeback.
