Martin Hongla Test Positive For Covid

Hellas Verona midfeilder Martin Hongla has tested positive for the Covid, and he is set to miss out on his team’s next game, after not making the match day squad against Cagliari on match day 15.

The announcement came forth via a club statement;

“Verona – Hellas Verona FC wishes to announce that midfeilder Martin Hongla has tested positive for a diagnostic test for COVID-19. The player, regularly vaccinated, is currently doing well and is in home isolation. The Club has immediately activated all the procedures in compliance with the regulations in force and is in constant contact with the competent health authorities “. Verona’s club statement ended.

The Indomitable Lions midfeilder, who is on loan from Royal Antwerp has played 339 minutes in total, from 9 games so far this season.

Hellas Verona’s coach Igor Tudor now has to rely on midfeilders – Ilic (coming back from an Injury), Tameze and Veloso, who have all had their fair share of injury worries this season.

Hongla will miss Hellas’ next trip to Venezia on Sunday. Hellas Verona are 10th in the 20 – team championship with 20 points.
