Matip & Choupo Make UCL Quarter Final

Joel Matip played alongside Van Dijk in the heart of Liverpool’s defense, and despite the Reds’ 1-0 defeat on the night, they went through (2-1) on aggregate.

A two – nil win in the reversed fixture did the trick for Matip and co, even as it was youngster Ibrahima Konaté sitting-in for Matip in the first leg, at the San Siro.

Matip’s case with the indomitable Lions looks even more complicated, as he appears to have turned down Rigobert Song.
