Matip Wins 5th Trophy With Liverpool!

Indomitable Lions sweeper Joel Matip won the English League Cup on Sunday, February 28, after an epic final against Chelsea that ended 0-0 in regular playing time, and 11-10 on penalties.

The game had loads of missed chances from both sides, and an incredible post match penalty series.

Thrown into the game one minute from extra time, it was Kepa Arrizabalaga of all people who missed the last penalty at Wembley.

With the triumph, Liverpool are now out on their own as the most successful club in the competition with 9 trophies.

It is Matip’s 5th trophy in Liverpool colours after the premiership, club world cup, champions league and the UEFA super cup.
