Mbaizo’s Dad Thanks Song For Doing His Son A Favor

Some Cameroonians only remember the early exit of the Indomitable Lions from the ongoing World Cup in Qatar, with others still angry at the technical staff for the non – selection of Michael Ngadeu. Others are however thankful for how the tourney panned out.

Olivier Mbaizo’s Dad falls into the last category of people who are thankful.

“I didn’t have the opportunity to say thank you to the coach for the support he provides to my son (Editor’s note Olivier Mbaizo). Thank you coach,” he said.

“It is why I really want to thank you. These encouragements are close to our hearts and we take them, we pass them on. We want our little brothers to be better than us,” replied Rigobert Song.

“May the upper hierarchy give you enough time. You only had a few days and then you did well. All of Cameroon was aware and saw what happened. I think that if we give you 10 years as a coach, I’m sure we’ll win the World Cup,” added Olivier Mbaizo’s father.

It should be noted that Olivier Mbaizo, who moved to Philadelphia Union / USA as a defender, is one of the players who did not play a single match during the Qatar 2022 World Cup. Cameroon played 3 matches at the group stage for 4 out of 9 points.

Coach Rigobert Song Bahanag has been accused by journalist Romain Molina of having sold slots to players who wanted to participate in the World Cup. However, so far the French journalist has not yet provided any proof of this accusation.
