MLS: Mbaizo Scores Assist In Philadelphia’s 2-0 Win Over Cincinnati

Cameroonian full – back Olivier Mbaizo was omnipresent, as he has always been, as his team dumped Cincinnati (2-0), in Chester.

The 24 year gave an assist in his team’s convincing victory.

For the first goal, a recycled ball off a Union corner kick in the 11th minute was the first real moment in the game – and resulted in the game’s opener. After Alejandro Bedoya’s cross was deflected out, Olivier Mbiazo smacked the rebound with the inside of his right boot. The ball nestled in the far corner of the net and, just like they were the last time out and the last time at home, the good guys were ahead. It looked initially like the right back’s first career Union goal, but was actually redirected by Daniel Gazdag to continue his strong run of form.

After a half of dominance, Mbaizo and his Union pals went into the break up a goal and came out in the second half looking to finish off the MLS bottom feeders. Aaronson provided the second Union goal eight minutes into the half. This time, After forcing a turnover, Gazdag played a pass into McGlynn and continued his run, creating a lane for Aaronson to dribble into before unleashing a left-footed strike that found the bottom corner.

Mbaizo, formerly of Union Douala, has played 29 games and registered 3 assists in the MLS this campaign.

He is one to look out for when Cameroon goes up against Malawi and Cote D’Ivoire on the 13th and 16th of this month.
