MTN Elite Two: Game Day 8 Roundup As BUFA gets pound of flesh against Foncha Street

News of losing by forfeiture to Foncha Street in the first round seemed to have been transformed into motivation for Bafmeng United who beat their city rivals 2-1 in the restart of the second round.
Midfielder, Malchi Nfor scored in both halves of the game at the Bambili stadium to quickly put behind the Homologation and Disciplinary Committee’s decision to deduct the team 3points and pushing it down into 7th place before the Tuesday December 05 late lunch clash.
Fielded in an attacking role by Coach Martin Nkabyo, Malchi gave his team the lead heading into the break and doubled shortly after resuming in the second half. Fale Humphrey drew in late consolation for Foncha Street.
The winners however concluded the final 15minutes with ten men after Ngong Oliver received marching order with a second yellow booking.
Nkabyo’s side following an energizing win now sit in 5th position with 10points, above Unisport that drew 1-1 with Racing and YAFOOT that lost to group leaders Aigle of Mungo 1-0.
Elsewhere in Douala, Leopard Sportive remain in the drop zone but with an increase in point tally following a 1-0 win over Djiko FC that began the day as leaders of Group B.
Stanislas Madi delivered the highly cherished win for Leopard which didn’t come on platter for the “Bana ba Njo”.
Djiko FC who emerged 4-1 winners weeks ago were more than favorite this time around and thus took the game to Leopard before letting it slip at the closing stages of the first half.
New coach, Basile Ebokea Dalle fielded a much better team interms of deposition which paid off in the 42nd minute through Stanislas Madi who made the difference and it was carefully protected till the last minute.
President Feutcheu’s team has therefore handed leadership rights to Dragon that put four past struggling Rangers of Bafut in Yaoundè.
YAFOOT failed to pose any major trouble for Aigle of Mungo despite going behind in the 15th minute at the Bonnamousadi Stadium in Douala.
César Epoh concluded a great action initiated from down left to give Aigle the lead inside the first quater but, YAFOOT in a bid to respond saw multiple offensives at both ends left no impact on the scoreline.
Tonnerre Vs Renaissance finished in another stalemate as it did in the first round but, 1-1 at full-time.
Renaissance took to the front foot with multiple incursions inside the opponent’s third but failed to deliver through Jean Mewolo. Guy Marcel Zoua corrected his mistakes on the other end by placing Tonnerre ahead in the second half.
The boys from Ngoumou nevertheless responded late on through captain Stéphane Ebode from a fine strike. A draw leaves Tonnerre on 12points from eight matches and still unbeaten.
Ikosse Njuma registered his third of goal of the season from penalty against Panthère Sportif of Nde in 1-1 draw for ISOHSA. Successive stalemates places the team on a reality check yet, still in contention for top spots in Group B.
In all, 14goals realized from eight matches consisting of four draws and four defeats with Dragon scoring highest.
