Ndiforchu’s Second Elite One goal seals Win for PWD against AS Fortuna

PWD of Bamenda has beaten AS Fortuna 1-0 in Bafoussam to climb within mid-table of Group A, courtesy of a second half penalty converted by Ndiforchu Blaise.
With just a win from four matches, Dieudonne Nke made some changes to his Day-5 squad which faced AS Fortuna. The team welcomed captain Burinyuy, for the first time since Cameroon Cup final and Nyaba at the back while Njoya and Billy Samin dropped.
The Abakwa Boys went into the game head on against a visiting side who failed to score against Bamboutos while cautious of an own goal situation as in their previous outing.
Fortuna mounted pressure, resisted by a PWD side which created its own occasion when it came. The visitors had their defense line conced a penalty which Ndiforchu Blaise converted to make the deference.
Coach Nke’s men protected their lead despite sevral advances from AS Fortuna for an equalizer that never came. Defeat leaves the Mfou outfit on a run of three matches without win with just a point from posible nine.
