Ngamaleu Returns From Injury In Young Boys’ Draw To Basel

Recovering from an Injury sustained before the international break in the month of March, Moumi Ngamaleu played 15 minutes in his team’s 2-2 draw away to Basel.

The 27-year-old came in for Elia at the 75th minute, and Young Boys equalised 3 minutes after he made his way in – on match day 28 of the Swiss league.

Taulant Xhaka opened scoring for Basel at the 41st minute, and Espisito extended the lead for the home side at the 71st minute, after
Edimilson Fernandes had leveled for Young Boys 10 minutes earlier.

Second half substitute Wilfried Kanga scored to equaliser for Young Boys at the 78th minute, and that was that.

Ngamaleu’s return is great news for the Indomitable Lions who qualified for the FIFA World Cup build for the summer, later this year.

Rigobert Song and his coaching staff had to switch from Cameroon’s traditional 4-3-3 system because of Ngamaleu’s absence. Though Cameroon eventually triumphed, Ngamaleu is still of utter importance to the Lions going forward.
