Nice vs Lyon: Toko Ekambi Scores But Lyon Lose On The Road

Cameroonian striker Karl Toko Ekambi scored his third Ligue 1 goal on Sunday, away at Nice. Unfortunately, Lyon lost via a 3-2 margin. The defeat meant Lyon’s five-game unbeaten streak came to a halt against OGC Nice on match day 11 of championship.

Everything had started well for the visitors who opened the scoring through Karl Toko, five minutes after the half hour mark.

Houssem Aouar later doubled the money in Lyon’s favour, to make it two – nil at the 68th minute.

OGC Nice reduced score courtesy Youcef Atal at the 81st minute. In what was a sensational come – back,
Andy Delort equalised for Nice after Kadewere received a matching order at the 85th minute.

Nice made the numerical advantage count, with Evann Guessand, completing the turn around.

Lyon has now settled at the 9th position with the loss, while Nice sits in 3rd place in the Championship.

Ekambi has been in superlative form, scoring 8 goals in 14 games in all competitions.
