Nkoudou Scores And Assist In Besiktas’ Cup Win Against
Sanliurfaspor

Besiktas faced Sanliurfaspor on Wednesday night at Vodafone Arena in the 5th round of the Turkish cup.

Unsurprisingly, the Black Eagles qualified for the round of 16 by winning via a 4-2 margin. But it came with a lot of sweat, as they needed to come from two goals down.

On the bench at the start of the match, Georges Kevin Nkoudou climbed on the turf in the 59th minute.

Down by two goals after the first 15 minutes of play, Senol Günes’ men returned to the race thanks to a double from Turkish international Cenk Tosùn.

Former Everton player Tosun srarted the come back as he halved deficit at the 67th minute on a pass from Nkoudou, to make it 2-1 before giving the advantage to his teammates (2-2, 70th minute). Tosun returned the favor for Nkoudou who scored the game’s tie breaker in the 73rd minute (3-2).

Following a layoff from Valentin Rosier, Wout Weghorst scored the fourth goal in the 85th minute, thus qualifying his team for the next round of the competition.

The Black Eagles follow through with a game next Sunday when they travel to Gaziantep FK on the occasion of the 15th day of the Turkish Super League.
