Nora Häuptle Appointed Black Queens Coach

Nora Häuptle has been appointed coach of the Black Queens of Ghana. The information was confirmed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Thursday, January 5, 2023.

From one function to another, Nora Häuptle has changed trajectory but remains in Ghana. The Swiss technician has gained promotion to the rank of head coach of the Ghana women’s team. Nora Häuptle initially worked in Ghana as a technical advisor to the Black Princesses (U20 women’s national team), since her appointment on August 10, 2022 by the GFA.

In her new mission as Black Queens coach, Nora Häuptle will be assisted by Joyce Boatey-Agyei and Aboagye Dacosta. The former is a physical education tutor and coach at Kumasi Girls’ High School, while the latter is the head coach of the Ashtown Ladies Club in Kumasi. The primary objective is to qualify Ghana for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, without forgetting the women’s tournament in the UFOA B zone scheduled from April 2023.

Nora Häuptle holds a professional license certificate from UEFA and previously worked for the Swiss Football Association. She was a head coach with the Israeli women’s team and also proved herself with the German women’s club SC Sand
