Official: African Champions WAC, BORROW Lamkel Ze

Didier Lamkel Ze has joined last season’s CAF champions league winners Wydad Casablanca on loan for 6 months, for a reported fee of $100 thousand.

The Cameroonian international now has a new challenge on the African continent.

Just few months after joining Kortrijk, Didier Lamkel Zé has parted ways with the club.

Not in the plans of Bernd Storck, new KVK coach, the winger has found refuge in Morocco, more precisely, at Wydad Casablanca, where he has been loaned for the remainder of the season, with option to buy.

It is Ze’s 6th different club in 18 months. The Ecole the foot graduate played for Antwerp before: Dunajska Streda, Khimki, FC Metz and Kortrijk within that period.

Last season when WAC won the CAF champions league, they had a Congolese poacher in Guy Mbenza, who scored 20 goals and dished out four assists in 41 matches across all competitions.

After an exceptional season on loan at Wydad Casablanca, Guy Mbenza returned to Belgium to parent club  Royal Antwerp.

The 22-year-old striker later signed  a two-year contract with Al-Ta’ee in Saudi. If last season’s scenario repeats itself, both parties (Lamkel Ze and WAC) would be contented.
