Official: Amine Harit To Miss The Qatar 2022 World Cup

Morocco’s Amine Harit has badly injured his knee and will miss the Qatar 2022 FIFA world cup, Olympique Marseille has confirmed.

It is a big blow for Amine Harit and the Atlas Lions of Morocco, after the midfeilder was Included in coach Walid Regragui’s list of 26 players for the World cup.

The Marseille man was playing his team’s Ligue 1 game against AS Monaco on Sunday, November 13. The reactions of AS Monaco and OM players spoke volumes. It wasn’t a pretty sight as the Moroccan went out on a stretcher on the hour mark after a heavy knee collision with Monegasque central defender Axel Disasi.

Recently acquired on a permanent basis by Olympique de Marseille, the former Nantes player was well en route to Qatar after he had been selected with Morocco to play the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
