Official: Charlène Yverna Meyong Unveiled At Meizhou Hakka

Charlène Yverna Meyong has been in CHINA Since June, and has finally put pen to paper for Meizhou Hakka FC, a club plying in the Chinese premier division.

The contract was made official with her unveiling on August 17 2021.

It was with swagger and style that Meyong left Cameroon in late June to integrate her new club, being one of the starlets who illuminated the Guinness Super League this term.

Meyong’s Minproff Louves Minproff ended this year as runner-up behind AWA FF not by much point tally, and represented the country in the inaugural TotalCAF Women’s champions league, bowing out to Malabo Kings in the prelims. (4-0) on aggregate.

After a stint in France, the 22-year-old came back with a bang to her native Cameroon, and managed to make Louves Minproff competitors, after AWA and Eclair looked for a while as though they were going to run away with the championship.

Since Meyong’s debut for fatherland in the 2018 Cosafa Women’s Cup, she has been a regular for the Indomitable Lionesses, with her last goal coming in a 2-1 Olympic qualifying win over Cote d’Ivoire last November.
