Official: Enock Mwepu Follows Daka To EPL

RB Salzburg has confirmed via its media handles that Zambian international midfeilder Enock Mwepu has signed a four year contract that will link him to Brighton & Hove Albion till 2025.

The deal has reportedly been announced to be an initial €20 million that could eventually rise to €25 million.

The 23-year-old follows countryman and former club – mate Patson Daka, to arguably the best championship on the old continent, except for that, Daka joined the Leicester City and he has joined Brighton.

The central midfeilder whose flexibility enables him to pick deep lying midfeild roles if required, was a great servant for Salzburg. He played a total of 119 games and scored 20 goals for the club in three seasons.

As accolades, the latter won four Austrian Bundesliga titles and three Austrian FA cup trophies.

Since bursting into the scene from humble beginnings at NAPSA Stars, to winning the Under-20 AFCON in 2017, Mwepu has not stopped putting up impressive numbers.

Another Zambia player who has made a big move this window is Fashion Sakala, wooed and eventually gotten by Steven Gerrad’s Rangers, from KV Oostende.

Quite impressive from a neutral’s perspective to see how the boys of that Zambia Under-20 AFCON side in 2017 have turned into men.

The deal has reportedly been announced to be an initial €20 million that could eventually rise to €25 million.
