Official: Oum Gouet Signs with Belgian Top-flight side

Cameroon holding midfeilder – Samuel Oum Gouet has completed a three years deal with Belgian outfit KV Mechelen.

The 23-year-old’s deal was evident after he said his goodbyes to his former club SCR Altach, hours before his switch.

Mechelen got ahead of other club juggernauts: Angers, Standard Liege and Ostende to lure this hot – red prospect to their ranks.

Samuel Oum Gouet played 30 games in the Austrian Bundesliga last campaign and scored one goal in that period of time.

The latter’s rise to Cameroon’s senior category has been dream stuff. He was part of the Lions squad that pit Nigeria earlier this month, and was hailed as man of the match in the first game on June 4.

KV Mechelen are themselves from a stellar campaign where they ended 2nd in the Belgian Pro. League conference playoffs, only behind Gent.
