Olympic Qualifiers: Morocco mauls Tunisia, gets Zambia in final round

Morocco women’s national football team on Wednesday, defeated Tunisia 4-1; (6-1, on aggregate) in the second leg of the third round of the 2024 Olympic Games qualifiers.

Fatima Tagnaout scored at the 11th minute and Ibtissam Jraidi netted on minute 16th, 20 and 22nd for the Atlas Lionesses.

Salma Zemzem got one back for Tunisia two minutes before the hour mark but the goal was a mere consolation.

In the first leg, held last Friday in Tunis, Morocco beat Tunisia 2-1.

In the fourth and final round of the qualifiers, Morocco will play Zambia to try and clinch a ticket for the 2024 Olympics as one of Africa’s two representatives.
