Onana Cheats Death After Ghastly Motor Accident

Leaving this morning from Yaounde to Douala to join his teammates of the national team to begin the preparatory course for the 2022 World Cup play-offs, Andre Onana was a victim of a road accident according people of his entourage.

The accident occurred at Sombo, near Pouma, on the Yaounde – Douala national road.

Andre Onana, who landed in the political capital of Yaounde, was trying to reach the economic city of Douala to start preparations for the 2022 World Cup play-offs.

Suddenly, the vehicle transporting him, a gray Range Rover, was hit by a another black vehicle. The two cars were going in opposite directions when they collided.

From the latest news, Andre Onana is doing well. The Cameroonian goalkeeper was able to borrow another vehicle to continue his journey and join his teammates.

According to his entourage, one of his friend’s present with him in the vehicle was injured.

This is happening just 3 days before Cameroon’s crucial WC play-offs first leg against Algeria, build for Friday March 25.

Despite his fine physical health after the accident, it is difficult to say if the goalkeeper will be between the sticks when Cameroon pits the 2019 AFCON champions. Coach Rigobert Song could give the latter a breather and go with either goalkeeper Epassy or Simon Omossola.
