Onana Keeps Serie A Leaders Napoli Quiet For 90 Minutes

Onana’s 90th minute save was just as important as Dzeko’s
56th minute goal in Inter’s win over Serie A league Leaders – Napoli through a 1-0 margin, at the San Siro.

With Simone Inzaghi’s men holding on to the lead, Onana made a great reflex save to stop Raspadori from scoring.

The Napoli attacker was given time and space in the box to take a touch before shooting. He stroke the ball low and hard but Onana reacted quickly to keep Inter in the lead – Dzeko had given the 2010 UEFA champions league winners. In total, Onana dazzled with wonderful footwork and commanded his backline.

Dzeko, an erstwhile Roma forward headed pass Meret for the game’s lone goal in the second stanza. Dimarco made a burst down the left wing before he sent a good cross into the six-yard box. Dzeko got away from his marker and beat Meret with a powerful header.

The victory took Inter to 4th with 33 points after 16 match days, 8 points adrift leaders Napoli.

Onana’s countryman Andre Zambo Anguissa played 76 minutes of the ball game, after which he was replaced by Ndombele. Anguissa and co however stay atop The league with 41 points.

Andre Onana, aged 26, retired from the Cameroon senior men’s national team – late last year – after a mid-World Cup shenanigans with coach Song that saw him rusticated, and later expelled from the Indomitable Lions camp. Rigobert Song will be licking his lips after such a performance.
