Qualities of Otia Paul

Positioning

The most important characteristic of Otia is his awareness and positioning. He seemingly knows where to be at all times, and most at times he ensures that no opposition player has time or space to take a shot at a goal or assist other teammates.

Leadership and Communication

The lad is constantly organizing his defence and receiving information from the goalkeeper. He is often loud and has a thick skin, which gives him the edge. The ‘noise’ of the crowd and other players requires the centre back to be loud in order to be heard by the rest of the defence and the midfield, which is trademark Paul Otia. Regardless of his age, if someone makes a silly mistake, they will certainly hear a word or two from the young fellow. In summary, he is not not shy or a quiet player.

But with Otia Paul who has a good aerial ability, he ensures that crosses do not pose a threat. He is particularly important in the last minutes of a game when his team is struggling to save their lead.

Tackling

And the last but not the least attribute of ‘Minister of defense’, is; tackling.
