Oum Gouet Told By KV Mechelen To Find Another Club

KV Mechelen, currently in financial difficulty, has asked some players to search for other options as they get set to part ways with few players this winter.

The franchise have queued some players on its transfer list, including: Steven Defour – Dries Wouters, Iebe Swers, Jorge Hernandez, Thibault Peyre and Oum Gouet.

The Nieuwsblad has revealed that Cameroonian international Samuel Oum Gouet, 25, fresh from the World Cup where he was in action with the Indomitable Lions, is free to search for another club.

Having arrived in July 2021 from Altach (Austria), Oum Gouet has gathered 10 appearances this season, but has not played a single minute since last October.

Upon arrival from the World Cup, his situation did not change.

In the event of his departure, Oum Gouet could bring in a good sum for Mechelen, as he is under contract until the end of 2024, and he is estimated at 1.3 million euros by Transfermarkt.
