Partnership: IPO Cameroon sign five-year deal with Mendogo Sport Academy.

The International Police Organization – Cameroon and Mendogo Sport Academy, a structure specialized in youth sports, signed a partnership agreement on January 05, 2024, in order to put together their assets, tools and expertise to fight against these scourges that undermine the development and stability of young people at the social, academic-academic level.

Thanks to this partnership, a new era is opening up for young people and teenagers who are losing speed especially those who are tempted to leave school and the educational circuit. Together, the two structures will put together strategies to end

• drugs,
• crime,
• cybercrime
• depravity of morals
• the unhealthy use of ICT

Through leisure, relaxation, sharing and support spaces around the basketball discipline, the two structures intend to set up projects that can support the public authorities in the eradication of the scourges that undermine the responsible and dynamic evolution of youth.

Internships, workshops and other knowledge management programs will also be offered to the staff of both structures.

Bertrand Ngondi, head of the International Police Organization Section of Cameroon, accompanied by the head of human resources, Murielle Atangana, invited Serge Mendogo, promoter of MSA and his team, to participate in IPO events around the world but also in the development and implementation of the projects that are the subject of this partnership.

The President of IPO Cameroon stressed that to put an end to crime and drugs in youth settings and guarantee the effectiveness of public authorities’ actions in the fight against scourges, the civil society must accompany the state, to be more cooperative and more conscious of its leading role. Also the partnership agreement between the two structures will have to integrate the statistics, forecasts and the orientations of the public authorities and the ministries indicated for the synchronization of the actions.

Young people who, through who the future programs have been object of the partnership between IPO CAM and MSA, already benefit from the presence of bodies specialized in the fight against crime, etc., will have to get involved by acting as ambassadors of good morals and the fight against the harms of social networks and the unhealthy use of ICT.

With the International Police Organization -IPO Cameroon and Mendogo Sport Academy-MSA which already mentors young people through sport and specifically basketball, it is a question of bringing young people and civil society to a more inclusive involvement of young people in the implementation;

• channels for raising awareness of good morals,
  -responsible use of social networks,
  -practice of sport as a means of combating wandering and vagrancy post school.
• Carry boats of young people and teenagers to give them the opportunity to be part of the men on whom the future and the development of Cameroon and why not of Africa rests.

after signing a few deals, the promoter of MSA offered a basketball jersey to IPO Cameroon thus guaranteeing him IPO’s place within the MSA team. The family photo came to an end to the meeting which was rich and fruitful.
