Patrice Beaumelle Pens Deal With Algeria’s MC Alger

The sportglitz crew gathered on Friday March 3rd, that Patrice Beaumelle has inked a 16-months contract as new gaffer of MC Alger, in a deal that was initially reported by Egyptian Journalist Maher Genena.

The 44-year-old former coach of Côte d’Ivoire manager between 2020-2022, is a journeyman having worked in most parts of Africa, in particular, in a role of assistant coach. The new parton of the Green and Red half of Algeria assisted his compatriot Hervé Renard during his various journeys on the continent. He was even part of the adventure when Renard was the coach of USM Alger in 2011.

The latter comes in as replacement of Faouzi Benzarti, who terminated his contract with the club amicably. Beaumelle will be accompanied by a new assistant and a physical trainer.

As a reminder, the interim coach of MC Alger was assistant coach, Redouane Falhi, following the departure of Benzerti after the elimination of the club in the round of 32 of the Algerian Cup.

In the league, MCA is in 3rd place with a total of 30 points. The next outing of the 6-time Algerian league winners will be on Friday March 10 where they will be traveling to Magra to pit t NCM.
