Petro safely through as group leaders after routine win over ES Sahel

Facing an already eliminated ES Sahel, Petro Luanda won (2-0) at home, in the 6th and final group C game of the CAF champions league.

On its patch, the Angolans launched hostilities through Jonathan Soro who scored first (38th minute) to confirm Angolan domination.

In the first half, there was basically no threat from the hosts, as the locals dominated all statistics with 78% possession.

The ES Sahel had 22% possession with 1 shot, 0 on target. Petro Luanda who had weak opposition doubled the lead (71st) through Joao Gabriel Miguel Diogo.

At the end of this 6th day of LDC CAF, Petro Luanda finished at the top of the group with (12 pts), followed by ES Tunis which thanks to their victory took 2nd place with (11 pts). Al-Hilal finished 3rd with (5 pts). ES Sahel brings up the rear with (4 pts).
