Potential Indomitable Lion Dynel Simeu Leaves Chelsea To Southampton
Southampton have signed potential Indomitable Lion and Chelsea defender Dynel Simeu on a three – year contract.
Born in Yaounde, Cameroon, the 19 year old Center – half will aim at having more game time with the Saints.
Dynel chosed not to extend his stay with Chelsea, and he will now complete his development with Southampton.
Chelsea will reportedly receive a £1.5m transfer fee for the deal.
Simeu enjoyed his boyhood days at Southampton originally, and joined Chelsea at age 13 after a successful trial. He was often the captain of youth teams of Chelsea on his way up the ladder, eventually finding himself training with the first-team and even making the injury-hit bench in Chelsea’s final game of the pandemic season.
Simeu played 67 games in total for the Chelsea youth set ups and culminated 5,404 minutes in the Chelsea youth ranks.
