Qatar 2022: Al-Shahrani Ruled Out After Bad Facial Injury Against Argentina

Yasser Al-Shahrani has been ruled out of the world cup after suffering a fracture in the jaw and facial bones, and damaging his teeth in the process. He s expected to undergo urgent surgery.

Medical reports revealed the nature of the injury of left back Yasser Al-Shahrani, which he suffered during the Saudi national team’s match against Argentina in the first round, Group C, in the 2022 World Cup competitions.

Newspaper “Al-Riyadh” revealed, through its official account on the social networking site “Twitter”, that the initial medical examinations confirmed that Yasser Al-Shahrani had a fracture in the jaw and facial bones, in addition to damage to the teeth, after he collided with goalkeeper Muhammad Al-Owais, the moment he left in one of the crosses as he tried protect the Saudi national team goal.
