Qatar 2022: Aliou Cisse Sees Salary Doubled, And Contract Extended By FSF

Before the start to the 2022 World Cup, the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) and the state have backed Senegalese gaffer, Aliou Cissé.

This Thursday, the FA announced an extension of the technician’s contract until 2024.

According to online news outlet  Records,  due to Cisse’s extension, his salary has been doubled and will go from 15 to 30 million CFA francs per month, just about 45,414 euros.

A salary the FSF and the State of Senegal  have agreed to each share  payments by half 50/50.

It is a way of taking  pressure off the shoulders of the former Lille player, who led Senegal to its first AFCON in February.

Observers will expect to see Senegal do better than in 2018 and qualify in a group A of the World Cup comprising of the Netherlands, Qatar and Ecuador. 4 years ago,  Senegal  was piped by  Japan to a round of 16 spot on  the ‘fair play rule’

Coisse will announce his list of players selected for Qatar at 10 a.m. local time on Friday
