Qatar 2022: Bryan Mbeumo Leaves With An Unfinished Business

Despite a historic victory one-nil victory against Brazil, Cameroon did not make the round of 16 of the World Cup.

The Indomitable Lions however, left the competition with their heads held high with 4 points on the log.

An almost natural starter in all three games for Cameroon, Bryan Mbeumo has kept a feeling of an unfinished desire: “Stuck between the emotions of a historic victory in the World Cup against Brazil and the fact of knowing that it was not enough to qualify.

“I would like to thank my teammates for giving me this magical experience. I come out of this competition grown. I learned a lot and I hope to be able to taste it again because it was one of my best moments as a footballer. A big thank you to you to all the supporters. You never stopped believing in it, stopped encouraging us even when it was hard. We will come back stronger to make you dream even more,” the Brentford man said on his Instagram handle.

The World Cup was a debut competition for Mbeumo and the 23 year old Brentford man will look to line up many competitions as such. Mbeumo is yet to open his account with the Indomitable Lions.
