Qatar 2022: CAF President Patrice Motsepe Visits Morocco Ahead Of Croatia Clash

Doctor Patrice Motsepe embarked on a journey to the Atlas Lions’ camp on Monday to give them words of encouragement prior to the epic clash against 2018 beaten finalists Croatia on Wednesday.

The president of the Confederation of African Football, Patrice Motsepe, said on Monday that the Atlas Lions have all the assets to shine in the World Cup in Qatar.

Hours before the first match of the Moroccan football team in the 2022 World Cup against Croatia, the president of CAF, indicated that Morocco has the chances of breaking further into the competition and maintained that Africa is waiting for Morocco as well as the other participating African nations to advance to the penultimate stages.

“Africa is waiting for the Moroccan selection, alongside the other African teams,” said Mr. Motsepe, expressing the wish to see an African team qualify for the final.

For him, the Moroccan players have the assets necessary to make good results during this World Cup, said Mr. Motsepe in a statement to the press, after a visit to a training session of the Atlas Lions in Abdullah bin Khalifa stadium in Al-Duhail, alongside the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa.

The Moroccan team, spoiled with choices of fine players playing in the biggest European championships, is awaited to do wl, he added.

Patrice Motsepe also paid tribute to the efforts made by the FRMF to promote football in Morocco, under the wise leadership of King Mohammed VI.
