Qatar 2022: Panama Hold Indomitable Lions To Draw In Final Prep Game

Cameroon, in the occasion for their last preparations game prior the World Cup, ended up with a one-all scoreline against Panama.

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and the Panamanian side cancelled each other out within 90 minutes.

After the first stanza where no goal was scored, Eric-Maxim Choupo Moting climbed off the bench and delivered an exquisite performance from his first few touches as he took only two minutes to score at the 48th minute, keeping his current form.

Zamba Anguissa activated a pressing mode and nicked the ball off Martinez before playing to the path of Choupo. The latter’s first attempt was saved by Mosquera, but a second bite nestled in the net.

Panama quickly equalized on a free-kick from Murillo at the 55th minute. Anguissa was adjudged to have handled just on the edge of the ‘D’ before Murillo struck perfectly passed Andre Onana.

Choupo-Moting hit the post with his head at the end of the game, but it just wasn’t meant to be for the Indomitable Lions.

Next Thursday, Cameroon will begin their World Cup journey against Switzerland, in group G where they are considered minnows.
