“This is the best possible list to defend our colors,” said Regragui, ex-coach of Wydad Casablanca, a club that provided three representatives in the team.

Regragui denied to follow the path of his predecessor – Vahid Halilhodzic and decided on calling players the former coach ousted from the team.

There is the return of Hakim Ziyech and Noussaïr Mazraoui – who both didn’t have a good relationship with Vahid.

Walid Regragui did not retain some of the players that were present at this year’s African Cup of Nations. Among those absent, are Munir El Haddadi and Ayoub El Kaabi, who will not be taking part in the World Cup.

However, the coach stated that he and his staff have another list of reverses pending, in case of injuries.

“There is a list of reserves,” said the technician, without giving the names of the players concerned.

Morocco are lodged in Group F alongside: Croatia, Belgium and Canada.

They start their campaign on November 23 against Croatia.

A preparation match is scheduled before that, on November 17, against Georgia.
