Qatar 2022: Teranga Lions Arrive Doha

The Teranga Lions of Senegal have arrived Doha via FlyAirSenegal from Paris, this Monday, Nov. 14 where they are set to begin camp under a week to the start of the World Cup.

The Senegalese Players met in Paris, France, before eventually leaving for Qatar, where they arrived at 1 am CAT.

88 percent of the squad is present, with the likes of Ismaila Sarr, Édouard Mendy, kalidou Koulibaly, Gana Gueye, Abdou Diallo amongst others, spotted in camp.

Sadio Mane and a few others are yet to join the group, but all 26 players are expected in camp in the days ahead.

Senegal are placed in group A of the World Cup that looks to be intriguing, as the African champions join hosts Qatar, plus the Netherlands and Ecuador.

Led by ballon D’or runner-up and Bayern Munich star – Sadio Mane, 18th placed Senegal in the current FIFA ranking, will
aim to better their best-ever finish of reaching the quarterfinals in 2002.

Senegal starts its campaign against three-time beaten finalists – the Netherlands, at the Al Thumama Stadium, Al Khor stadium – 5pm on November 21.
