The Teranga Lions of Senegal have put up a descent starting 11 to face the Netherlands in their group A opener, 5 pm local time.

Deprived of megastar sadio Mane (out injured), Aliou Cisse’ has put his hope up top on three players; Boulaye Dia, Ismaila Sarr and Monaco’s  Krepin Diatta in what looks to be a 4-3-3 formation.

Aliou Cisse’ has gone for midfeild ace Gana Gueye and the experience of Cheikhou Kouyate, with Leicester’s Namplys Mendy equally seating in there.

Placed before Édouard Mendy is the center half pair of Abdou Diallo and skipper, Kalidou Koulibaly.

Yousouffa Sabaly and Pape Abou Cisse’ will play either side of the defense, as the African champions look to start in fine fertile.

Ecuador already opened their campaign with victory over hosts Qatar, and temporarily lead group A.
