Qatar 2022: ‘We will fight Till the End’ – Bryan Mbeumo

Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo played his first competitive game with the Indomitable Lions on Thursday and had a fair enough game despite Cameroon’s defeat to Switzerland.

The former French Youth International presented Cameroon it’s best opportunity at the 10th minute, when he burst into the box, electing to shoot. His parried shot fell to the right foot of Toko Ekambi who blasted over.

After the game, the erstwhile Estac Troyes man took to his official Instagram handle to give the fans hope.

‘A new page in my adventure is written today with my debut at the most beautiful competition in the world which is the World Cup. A childhood dream has just come true.

‘With a lot of emotions, the result was unfortunately not the desired one, but we will not give up and we will fight until the end. Thank you to all the Cameroonian supporters for the support,” Mbuemo wrote.

Bryan Mbeumo is just 23 and will surely play more matches for the Cameroon men’s senior team. However, the immediate puzzle for Mbuemo and co to solve is the game against Serbia on Monday.
