Richard Towa Leaves Gokulam Kerela

Coach Richard Towa has taken to his official handles to announce his departure from Indian Super League side Gokulam Kerela, after a short but impressive spell.

After 9 matches of the Indian championship with a balance sheet of 4 wins 3 draws and 2 defeats for 7 goals scored and 3 conceded for a 4th place at 4 points shy of leaders Sreenidi Fc, 2 points away from the second Rounclass Punjab Fc and at 1 point of the 3rd Real Kashir Fc in the championship of Hero I league in India Cameroonian coach, Richard Towa and Gokulam Kerala Fc have decided to put an end to their collaboration by mutual concern.

“I say a big thank you to the president of the club who allowed me to discover this championship and I wish all the team a lot of success for the rest of the championship and my best wishes for the year 2023”, Richard Towa wrote on his Facebook in the early hours of Monday.

The club later confirmed the gaffer’s departure with a message on its handles.

“Gokulam Kerala FC and Cameroonian Head Coach Richard Towa have mutually agreed to part ways. The Cameroonian coach took charge of Malabarians’ 2022-23 campaign but has decided to discontinue his role at Gokulam.
He had mixed results at Gokulam with 4 wins 2 defeats and 3 draws in ILeague,” a club statement reads.

Richard Towa could return to Cameroon before bouncing back with another team as trainer, as he has different options in hand.
