Rodrigue Fodop Steps In After Unisport’s Ousting Of Charlemagne

It has not taken long for Unisport to get a new man at the helm after the Elite-2 Franchise announced an end of collaboration with Charlemagne Mbongo

Fodop has penned down a one year contract with an immediate objective to qualify ‘Le Flambeau De l’Ouest to the top-tier.

After the ousting of Mbongo, there was no looking past former coach of NGV Football Academy, Rodrigue Fodop.

The technician who has previously been at the helm of Aigle de la Menoua, ended up as champion of the west region in the 2021-2022 season with NGV Football Academy.

Fondop came agonizingly close to qualifying NGV to the Elite Two last year. His side lost in the semis to Victoria United via a 2-1 margin.

Charlemagne had mixed results at the time of his departure; 2 wins, 2 defeats and one draw. Unisport stands 3rd on the log with 8 Points.
