Sangare, Dorley on target as Liberia defeat Djibouti in 2025 AFCON qualifying prelims
At the end of what was a pulsating encounter – which saw Liberia defeating Djibouti 2-0 in the AFCON preliminaries qualifiers first leg, it looks very uncertain for Djibouti.
The ball got rolling on Wednesday, March 20 with slots at the 2025 AFCON up for grabs, begining from the preliminaries.
Liberia made their own luck as Mohammed Sangare converted at the 23rd minute to gift his side an advantage from the spot.
This, after Djibouti made an attempt to clear a cross into the box from the left, but a Liberian striker was fouled in attack.
Just minutes separated the first from the second goal.
Murphy Dorley doubled the advantage and that was pretty much that with Liberia switching to game management mode.
the second leg will be played next Tuesday.
