Saudi Division 1: Thierry Akono Scores Third Goal

Alain Thierry Akono Akono scored at the depth and ensured his team claimed maximum points on the road, as Al Kholood snatched 3 points from Al-Shoulla.

The 26 year old kept his cool from the spot and slotted home in borrowed time (90+2) to spark wild celebration amongst the small contingent of Al Kholood fans who had made the trip.

It was Alain Thierry Akono’s third goal in 7 games played this season, helping his side to a mid-table 9th position, out of 18 teams in the league.

The club’s team manager, Abderrazek Chebbi hugely relies on the cameroonian talent, reason why he opted for the former SCC Mohammedia striker amid other options in the summer.

Akono has had a decent scoring record in the last couple of seasons since he leaving Cameroon for Negeri Sembilan where he scored 12 goals and dished out 4 assists. The striker could be on his way to yet another wonderful season.
