Sebastien Migne appointed coach of Haiti
Frenchman Sebastien Migne has taken over the reigns of the Haitian national team, sportglitz.com has learned.
The gaffer was not idle for long. Migne, the erstwhile assistant coach of the Cameroon national team, has now bounced back in Haiti as coach of the senior men’s national football team.
His appointment, announced on Friday March 8, 2024, by the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), is part of the authorities’ desire to revive football in their country.
With extensive international experience, particularly in Africa, Sébastien Migné is seen as a major reinforcement for the Haitian national team.
His main objective will be to qualify the team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in order to mark the return of Haiti to the world stage after more than 50 years of absence.
Before joining Haiti, Sébastien Migné was assistant coach of Rigobert Song in Cameroon for two years.
However, after results deemed unsatisfactory at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, he was dismissed by the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT).
Observers are now curious to see how the manager could express his tactical ability.
