Serie A: Ejangue Keeps Ajara At Bay As Pomigliano Defeat Inter

Two Cameroonian internationals were at it on match day 16 of the Italian Women’s Serie A, and it was Augustine Ejangue who got the better of Nchout Ajara.

Giorgia Tudisco’s well crafted goal at the 58th minute was enough to stop the game from heading towards a dead rubber, as it ended 1-0 for the visitors.

Center – half Ejangue played the entire duration of the game, and alongside; Fusini, Apicella, Tudisco and goalkeeper Anna Buhigas, they kept a fearsome Inter attack in check.

Nchout Ajara on the other hand simply had a bad day in office as she couldn’t save coach Rita Guarino’s ladies. Ajara’s over zealousness instead meant she received a yellow card at the 94th minute, in added on time.

29 year old Nchout prior to the game had scored 6 goals and registered an assist. After the defeat, Inter ranks 5th with 29 points while Pomigliano are 7th with 19 points after 16 match days.

The two internationals have both accumulated over 101 caps for the senior women’s selection of Cameroon, and they will be great additions to Zabo’s team when the AWCON finals come knocking in July.
