Shaping the Future of SAVATE: Key Decisions Unveiled at Transformative General Assembly

In a momentous gathering held at the esteemed Émergence building on January 25, significant decisions were reached to chart the course of SAVATE at both national and international levels.
National Strategic Resolutions
The assembly underscored the critical importance of refining communication strategies to amplify SAVATE’s visibility and forge stronger ties with the broader public. This strategic move aims to cultivate a deeper appreciation for the sport among audiences.
A pivotal resolution focused on the introduction of youth savate programs within educational institutions, with the goal of igniting interest and involvement in SAVATE from a grassroots level. Leaders of various leagues were urged to redouble their efforts in enhancing league functionality and nurturing the diverse dimensions of savate within these organizational structures.
Addressing financial sustainability emerged as a top priority, with a spotlight on fortifying the federation’s independence. Notably, the validation of key competitions for 2025 was confirmed, highlighting Cameroon’s participation in prestigious events such as the African championship in Senegal, the world championship in Bulgaria, the youth World Cup in Uzbekistan, and various OPENS.
In a move to honor excellence within the SAVATE community, plans were set in motion for the inaugural Savate Awards. Furthermore, the organization of the esteemed Golden Savates event received approval, alongside a concerted push to revitalize and propel stagnant projects with substantial potential for the sport’s advancement and expansion.
