Shocking: Andre Onana Ends International CareerAt 26

It was only but a matter of time before Inter glove-man, Andre Onana called time on his International career after his rustication from the Indomitable Lions squad in the middle of the just ended FIFA world cup.

The 26 year old La Masia graduate has, this Friday Dec. 23, decided to retire from International Football with a message via his tweeter handle.

For starters, Onana was sent parking from the indomitable Lions camp after a dispute with head coach and Indomitable Lions legend, Rigobert Song over his style of play.

The latter insisted on a particular style of passing his way from danger, as it has been his trademark since he burst into the lamplight.

Coach Rigobert Song wasn’t ready to take the risk and asked the keeper to clear from danger, which Onana wasn’t reportedly ready to adjust.

It was further allegedly that Onana proposed players who could help play out from the back: Ebosse Enzo and Wooh christophe, but Song was not impressed and insisted on the pair of Nicolas Nkoulou and Jean Charles Castelletto.

On his return from the World Cup, Rigobert Song was caught on camera explaining how Onana told him ‘you can’t talk to me’, as he tried to make the Ngol Nkok native see reason with him.

”Every story, however beautiful it may be, has its end. And my story with the Cameroonian national team has come to an end,”Onana wrote. on his tweeter handle

Andre Onana made 35 appearances for Cameroon that led to an AFCON bronze medal earlier this year. He took over as Cameroon’s number 1 in 2019, from his brother, Fabrice Ondoa.
