Sokba Aims To End USD’s Trophy Hunt

USD coach, Herman Oumarou Sokba aired in his pre match presser prior to the Astres game, that, his wish is to see USD lift the MTN Elite One trophy this season.

For a club of its stature, 10 years seems like forever, having not lifted the trophy in that stint. Since the arrival of Sokba last season, the trend has changed from fighting relegation battles to at least fighting for a place in the playoffs, just like last season.

‘Our club this season has the means to go in search of the title,’ Sokba told press men on the eve of the game.

Union Sportif of Douala go heads on against Les Astres Football club this Saturday, October 15, at 5 pm.

The Nassaras Gamakai have previously won the Elite One trophy on 5 occasions, and they will look to make that 6 this season.
