Solidarity Tourney: PWD Running Riots

By Ngome Michael

2019/2020 Elite One Champions, PWD Social Club Bamenda have completed a 100% group stage finish in ongoing International Solidarity Tournament in Mbankomo.

The David Pagou led club are yet to find anything standing between them and their objective in Yaoundé.

In three matches played against Renaissance, Dragon and YAFOOT, the ABAKWA Boys are yet to see defeat, scoring 10goals and conceding none.

Putting four past Dragon over the weekend, coach Pagou stationed a four-two- four line-up against a familiar YAFOOT side.

Just like in the last game, it took his 12minutes for PWD to score thanks a well delivered free kick from Chem Herbet.

The game looked equal on the green turf for the next 28minute when Chem Herbet once again from a deadball spotted fellow defender Cédric Bahoken to scored the second goal five minutes to half time.

Newly recruit Nchindo Cletus sprinted off the bench to make matters worst for YAFOOT netting PWD’s 10th group stage goal.

David Pagou who has extended his stay at the club till next year will be satisfied with results from the various sets of players he has fielded throughout the competition.
